Conclusion

2/3 of our hypotheses were upheld. For the most part, DePaul students are more likely to shop online for books instead of in actual stores and shop online for clothes more than anything else. Our data was not sufficient enough to determine whether more female DePaul students shop online than Male DePaul students. Further testing is needed to gain a more accurate result. Overall, our data was across the board. Many of the people who took our survey, provided unique results. One girl never shops online because her mother got her identity stolen from a phishing scam. Another variable may have affected her shopping habits. On the other hand, a young male entered that he shops online everyday and spends an average of $75 online and $100 in stores. His family life or sexual orientation may play a part in that. In order to get accurate data, we have to consider hidden variables that may affect the data. We also should study why online shoppers spend so much online on certain items rather than others. See our results section here or more external charts and graphs.
