I am not, generally, a fan of Halloween. I don't know why I dislike it but I always feel there is a bit of stress at this time of year, to come up with some stellar concept of some costume. I am not really a big candy person either... unless it gummi worms. If every house handed out gummi worms, maybe I would feel differently. But as it is, definitely not a fan.

Even with this, I really enjoy other people dressing up. I think it is fantastic holiday for everyone. Like when kids dress up and show up at your door, pride beaming from their eyes and you get to ask what they are. You know, instantly, that he is Optimus Prime or that she is a princess from some Disney movie, but you still ask and are still surprised when they tell you. I like that.

When I was in 7th grade I was mugged during Halloween one year. It was years later before I realized that I was mugged. That I could now use that word in relation to my past. I had a pillowcase filled a sweet haul when men, giants, ran up and ripped the bulging pillowcase from my hands and runs off. Remembering the memory as an adult, I know that the giants were merely highschool students. I don't understand the motive in that. It just seems mean to me.
