Question 1 Results

From our survey results, we can see that majority of the DePaul students were females, 63%, while the males were 37%. We thought that the spread would be more balanced instead having a big difference in ratio.


Question 2 Results

From the results above, we can see that majority of DePaul students were among the younger classmen. In addition, we can see that as the age progress there are less people using YouTube.


Question 4 Results

The results show that a little more than 70% of DePaul students have YouTube accounts. We assumed that they would have YouTube accounts because nowadays with social media and viral videos most popular on the Internet, it would make them watch more than 10 videos a week. Also, DePaul students might not know that their Google accounts might be linked with their YouTube accounts, therefore there might be more than 70% of them that have YouTube accounts.


Questions 5 Results

We assumed that DePaul students were going to be regular users, but from the results, majority of them are light users. We thought DePaul students would watch more than 10 videos a day because we assumed that they would keep watching videos from recommendations, which would lead to watching more videos.


Question 6 Results

We predicted that majority of the DePaul students were going to access YouTube during the evening and late night. From the results, we see that we predicted to be true.


Question 7 Results

We hypothesized that DePaul students are likely to listen to music while surfing YouTube. We predicted to be true; from the pie chart above shows that majority of the main usage of YouTube was because of music. We also thought that DePaul students would search “How-To” videos or “Do-It-Yourself” videos on YouTube, but only 6 respondents answered to be true.


Question 8 Results

We hypothesized that DePaul students are likely to seek help from a YouTube video, however, from results we see that majority of the DePaul students are likely to seek help from Google. >


We hypothesized that it would people would subscribe after watching one video. However, from the results we found that majorities of our respondents would watch six or more videos in order to subscribe to a channel.
