TEDxCity2.0: A day of urban inspiration

October 13th, 2012

In 2012, for the first time ever, the TED Prize went not to an individual, but to an idea on which our planet's future depends: the City 2.0.

For one day only, the TEDx platform harnessed the power of people across the globe and encouraged them to host a TEDx event themed "City 2.0" event at their favorite local spots, featuring the brightest local minds and biggest hearts.

TEDxDePaulU 2012

April 28th, 2012

In 2012, for the first time in DePaul University's history, we brought together some of the brightest minds to exlpore our TEDx theme: "What can we do?".

Thanks to our awesome host, Brad Neal, the inspiring speakers, our sponsors, the production team, and the entire DePaul and Chicago community.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Our event is called TEDxDePaulU where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxDePaulU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. To find out more go to TED.com

Organized and curated by Matt Helbig and Daniel Gurvich.
